Opteon™ precision cleaning agent for high cleanliness and lower costs

Opteon™ is a widely used precision cleaning agent for vapor degreasing. Opteon™ vaporizes at a certain boiling point. The released vapor ensures that stubborn contaminants are removed from the parts and the parts dry without residue.

With a global warming potential (GWP) of <2.5, Opteon™ has a low environmental impact. In addition, Opteon™ is recyclable and reusable.

Safe to use and safe for you
Almost all Opteon™ cleaning agents are classified as “nonflammable” by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) or the Department of Transportation (DOT). The risk of adverse health effects is very low when exposure of the liquid is kept below established limits. This is due to the low inhalation toxicity of Opteon™. All Opteon™ cleaning agents have an acceptable exposure limit of >100. Incidentally, the cleaning agents have low odor and toxicity level.

How do you achieve high cleanliness with Opteon™?

Removes stubborn contaminants
Contaminants such as oils, greases, fluxes, waxes and particles are easily cleaned thanks to the high Kb value (103) of Opteon™. In fact, compared to competitive products, Opteon™ has the highest cleaning power (Kb value) in its class.

Clean blind holes
Blind holes get cleaned thoroughly thanks to high boiling points and effective wetting. The high boiling points cause vapor to form, dissolving the contaminants. Thanks to constant filtering and distillation of the liquid, the vapor is always “clean”, and so are the parts.

No stains/residue free
Vapor degreasing with Opteon™ results in residue-free results. The optimal boiling point of Opteon™ ensures that the parts dry quickly, without leaving any residue. So after cleaning, the parts are ready for use immediately!

Cut costs with Opteon™

With Opteon™ you cut costs because of a shorter cleaning cycle, faster drying time, less maintenance requirements and lower consumption of water, electricity and the solvent. Where solvents (Opteon™) have an 8-minute cleaning cycle, water-based cleaning agents have a 30-minute cycle.

With precision chemical cleaning agents, you use less water, electricity and detergent compared to waterborne cleaning agents. For chemical precision cleaning, you need half as much detergent!

An additional advantage of vapor degreasing with Opteon™ is the drying time. You no longer have to wait for your cleaned parts to dry! Thanks to the optimal boiling points of Opteon™ your cleaned parts dry quickly and residue free! Another advantage that minimizes costs. Your maintenance costs are also lower with Opteon™ precision chemical cleaning agents. Stabilizer maintenance is no longer required, another way to save money!

Material compatibility of Opteon™

Opteon™ is compatible with many types of metals such as stainless steel, copper, brass and aluminum. Plastics and elastomers such as polyethylene, polypropylene, PTFE and so on are also compatible with Opteon™.

Always consult the product data sheet first for material compatibility. To be sure of compatibility, we always recommend testing Opteon™ first.
